OUR HISTORY

JCM Technologies was established in 1983, and within a few years it became a leader in the Spanish market. In 1991 it started its internationalisation process and opened commercial subsidiaries in France and Germany. JCM Technologies is currently one of the most recognised brands in Europe, and is present in more than 40 countries.

    Birth of Joan Capdevila Mas, son of Jaume Capdevila and Maria Mas

    INGENIERÍA DE CONTROL

    Ingeniería de Control foundation, a precursor of the current JCM.

    JCM POSITIONS ITSELF

    Incorporation of Elemat as the first distributor. The company positions itselfs through small installators.

    LOCATION IN VIC

    Ingeniería de Control (located in St. Pere de Torelló) where 4 employees worked, is transferred to Vic. The name JCM is registered as a trademark of Ingeniería de Control products (in a few years, JCM Technologies, SA).

    STAFF ENLARGEMENT

    Incorporation of Francesc Abancó Mas, current Finantial Director and worker with more seniority Of JCM at the moment.

    NEW ASSEMBLY OFFICE

    The two workers who worked from Manlleu moved to a new assembly office in Vic.

    SERVICOMPUT FOUNDATION

    Creation of a new division of Ingeniería de control under the commercial name of Servicomput (commercialization of computer products and services) which is sold further.

    CONSTRUMAT

    JCM attends the International Construction Exhibition (Barcelona), from which JCM extracta the need for personalization of issuers, both in design and in code. A fact that reaches JCM to the leadership of the Spanish market.

    NEW SALES SYSTEM

    JCM decides to sell exclusively through 12 large distributors in Spain.

    INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION

    Opening of the France subsidiary as its own distributor with virtual office in Paris.

    E3A TECHNOLOGIES FOUNDATION

    Foundation of E3A, assembly services, personalization of equipment, after-sales service (repairs) and dispatch company.

    TRANSFER OF FRANCE HEADQUARTER

    The headquarters of JCM France is moved to Quetigny, near Dijon.

  • 2003

    OUTSOURCING OF PRODUCTION

    1st outsourcing of production outside the Spanish state. Initially it is produced in the Czech Republic, but with the passage of the years it is passed to China and Bulgaria respectively.

    CREATION OF THE RADIOBAND

    Launching RadioBand to the market, a radio band/control panel connection equipment that replaces the spiral cable.

    TRANSFER OF FRANCE HEADQUARTERS

    The headquarters of JCM France is moved to Ahuy, near Dijon too.

    JCM attends the R&T expo (Stuttgart, Germany), the main world fair in the door and automotive sector and where the future is presented in terms of product range, the KEE range.
